A nursery Rhyme for an Entrepreneur

Source | LinkedIn : By Rashmi Shetty

I have been hearing to this popular rhyme which my daughter has been humming for almost about 100 times; and every time I listen to it, my mind gets tickled with a funny inspiration. When I read the rhyme, I found the lyrics quite tempting and so I tried changing it a bit to rephrase it from the perspective of an entrepreneur.

I hope you like it!

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream,
Merrily merrily, merrily, merrily
Life is but a dream (New venture)

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the brook,
If you catch a little fish (idea)
Find a way to cook.

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the creek,
If you get an interested horse (investor)
Try and build your clique.

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the river,
If the river gets you wet (risks)
Don’t forget to quiver

Row, row, row the boat
Gently to the shore,
If you see an apple tree (Successful venture)
Jump ashore with a roar.

Row, row, row your boat
Watch the water flow,
Rowing’s fun but rowing’s hard
That is what I do know

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the lake,
Don’t stand up and rock the boat
That’s a big mistake!

Row, row, row your boat
See the water run,
Rowing here and rowing there
Oh we’re almost done

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream, (expansion)

Time to grow out of the boat
Into a submarine

Gently down the stream,
Merrily merrily, merrily, merrily
Life is but a dream
