The collegiate & technical education department signed up with Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) on Thursday as part of its ambitious future digital jobs at government polytechnic and engineering colleges initiative.
The collaboration would help us to organize future digital jobs drives exclusively for students of government institutions and to provide career counseling and guidance to students in government institutions. This would lead to meaningful internships, projects, and placements, IT/BT, Higher Education & Skill Development Minister CN Ashwath Narayan said, speaking on the occasion.
The partnership, he said, would help in workforce research for industries in regions ‘Beyond Bengaluru’ and facilitate industry talks, mentoring seminars, and workshops for students, faculty, etc. It also plays a role in establishing incubation centers, centers of excellence in government institutions, the minister said.
