Government looks to hire retirees in health, education sectors

The Indian government is planning measures such as incentives for employers to hire retirees for part-time work in sectors including education and healthcare. The country has an aging population, with those over 60 years of age projected to double to almost 19.6% of the total population by 2050. Other measures under consideration include a minimum wage framework based on prior experience, phased retirement, role modification, and flexible retirement policies
