There’s this old wise tale that says, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.”
Except, it isn’t just a saying, but a habit.
The habit of eating an apple is something that’s repeated deliberately each day.
It’s not something that happens overnight, but rather over a period of time.
Ironically, habits are intended to replace other habits.

For instance, a manager who tends to scold their employees in front of other employees, might instead replace that habit by pulling the person aside.
