New Delhi: Amazon founder and world’s richest man Jeff Bezos is one of the most successful businessmen in the world. The billionaire is known for his witty replies, sense of humour, the innovative entrepreneurship drive and the perspective towards life.

The Amazon top boss has diversified interests in several businesses aside from Amazon including space technology and other technology-related enterprises. He derives a relatively large portion of his wealth from the equity holding in Amazon and other listed, as well as non-listed, companies.

Jeff Bezos’ net worth stands at $114 billion (Rs 9.94 lakh crore), according to the latest estimates by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, whereas Forbes has approximated Jeff Bezos net worth at $109.7 billion as of October 19, 2019. While he is still the richest person in the world, his net worth took a massive beating following his divorce with wife MacKenzie Bezos. Before his divorce, Jeff Bezos used to control a total net worth of over $150 billion.

In the early days of Amazon, Bezos used to interview candidates himself and while most people think their SAT scores don’t matter after college, Jeff Bezos was not one of them. For those who are not aware, the SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States.

According to The Atlantic report, in the early days of Amazon, the billionaire would ask every candidate how they scored in their SAT before putting them through a Socratic-style interrogation. The Atlantic’s Franklin Foer reported in a profile of Bezos published in the magazine’s November issue that Bezos believed that candidates’ SAT scores were a reflection of their intelligence.
