India’s blue-collar jobs market is likely to create a record 9 million jobs in FY23, up from 8 million jobs created in FY22, according to data from frontline workforce management platform BetterPlace.
Sectors such as logistics & mobility, ecommerce, facility management, information technology, retail & quick service restaurants, manufacturing, and banking & financial services are seen as some of the major drivers of frontline jobs in the months ahead.
This comes at a time when companies have opened up their offices, services activity has picked up post-Covid, and businesses are looking to ramp up their workforce to cater to an anticipated increase in festive demand. At the same time, there is a significant increase in demand from the manufacturing sector, especially for various greenfield projects and new initiatives as well as from the banking and fintech sectors. Rising footfalls in malls and physical stores ahead of the festive months are
