Incentives to Return-to-office only increase the Satisfaction of hybrid workers but don’t Encourage them to come to the office!

📉 Less than half of employees are described as either happy or comfortable about returning to the workplace.

💡 Employees who work in-person all the time do so because of the nature of their job or because their employers required them to work-person.

🎯The loss of flexibility or work-life balance was a top reason for resisting returning to the office fulltime.

👉 Half of employees working in-person say increased pay for coming into the office would increase their satisfaction but only forty-four percent of employees who always work remotely say more pay for working in-person would encourage them to work in-person more often, according to a new interesting research published by NORC at the University of Chicago using data 📊 from two surveys of 1,099 HR representatives from the Voice of Work Research Panel that NORC built for the SHRM conducted November 21-December 13, 2022 and another survey of 2,242 adults nationwide from NORC’s AmeriSpeak Omnibus panel conducted August 24-28, 2023 and September 7-11, 2023.
