Infosys ties up with 1,500 hospitals pan-India to treat staff, kin for Covid

Infosys has partnered with 1,500 hospitals across India to treat its employees and their dependents, at a time when an alarming number of Covid-19 infections has put severe stress on the country’s healthcare infrastructure.

The Bengaluru-based IT services company has also expanded its Covid-19 care commitment to Rs 200 crore.

“Over the past year, several countries across the world have faced a difficult time with Covid-19. Today, the situation in India is serious with increasing cases and the health infrastructure strained,” Infosys chief executive Salil Parekh said in an email to employees on Wednesday.

Infosys has taken up a slew of measures to help staff, including hospital tie-ups and setting up of Covid-care centres.
