Organisations are now considering to transition to new age performance management systems so as to improve their workforce productivity.

Dispersed, distributed and remote workforces have become the new normal. What is clear is how misleading and unhelpful legacy metrics are for assessing a people performance system. Workplace analytics of the past are no longer fit for the purpose as they don’t capture the disjointed realities of hybrid workflows. Stressed and challenged to do better with less, people need greater insight into how they are doing. Productivity now demands more aggressive and actionable measures.

Hence, organisations are now considering to transition to new age performance management systems so as to improve their workforce productivity. In an attempt to be a step ahead, first, they should look at how new trends, challenges and other aspects that are still relevant today are affecting the people performance system. And, second, they should look at reviewing and building on their existing performance-related practices and revisit them, paving the way for performance management system (PMS) 3.0.
