I recently had the privilege of visiting the renowned Infosys Global Education Centre in Mysore, as part of our Faculty Development Program at IFIM School of Management. I must say, it was an awe-inspiring experience. We  had the opportunity to witness firsthand the vision, the journey, training strategy, and teaching pedagogy that make this institution a true beacon of excellence in the field of education and professional development and matching global standards.

During our half-day visit on 7th July, we were warmly welcomed by the dedicated team at the Infosys Education Centre. Sundar K, the Head of the Institute graciously took the time to provide us with an overview of the Institute’s journey, its vision, and the remarkable 6-month “Campus to Corporate Industry Ready” program offered to their newly joined campus recruits. He also shared the training strategy, teaching pedagogy and the e-learning Platform.

We were particularly impressed by the Institute’s training strategy, which encompassed a comprehensive blend of classroom sessions, practical application, technology integration, and mentorship. It was evident that the Institute’s focus was not only on technical skill development but also on nurturing essential soft skills, critical thinking abilities, and leadership qualities among their recruits. This holistic approach ensures that their graduates are well-prepared to tackle real-world challenges and contribute effectively in their professional careers.

Furthermore, the teaching pedagogy at the Infosys Education Centre stood out as a shining example of innovation and learner-centricity. Their commitment to blended learning, experiential learning, and collaborative approaches truly resonated with us. The integration of technology, such as virtual reality simulations and e-learning platforms, showcased their dedication to providing an immersive and interactive learning experience for their participants.

What was so gratifying was that as part of their CSR program, they were offering their e-learning platform for free to Individuals and Educational Institutions and there are millions already onboarded and leveraging their platform for their Talent Development. We are happy to share that IFIM School of Management has also been onboarded on to their Springboard e-Learning platform and we are eagerly waiting to exploit the full potential of the platform in our efforts to make out students Industry Ready.

As we embarked on a campus tour, we were mesmerized by the state-of-the-art infrastructure and the serene environment that enveloped the campus. The commitment and spirit behind the whole initiative were palpable, and it was evident that every aspect of the Infosys Education Centre was meticulously designed to foster growth, excellence, and continuous learning.

Our visit concluded on a delightful note as we were treated to a sumptuous lunch at the floating restaurant. This experience not only showcased the attention to detail and hospitality of the institution but also exemplified their commitment to creating an enriching and holistic environment for their participants and creating a world standard Education Centre.

The Infosys Education Centre in Mysore not only stands as a symbol of excellence in education and training but also boasts a stunning architectural design and a captivating blend of flora that add a touch of natural beauty to the campus.

As one approaches the sprawling campus, it becomes evident that nature and innovation coexist harmoniously in every aspect of the Infosys Education Centre. A variety of indigenous and exotic flora greets the eye. The extensive gardens and green spaces are carefully curated, showcasing a vibrant palette of colors and textures. From the graceful sway of palm trees to the bursts of color from flowering plants, the flora at the Infosys Education Centre offers a visual treat and a soothing retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The fountain at the entrance in front of the Iconic building is a showpiece that even features in block buster movies.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the presence of flora at the Infosys Education Centre holds deeper significance. The commitment to maintaining a green campus underscores the organization’s emphasis on sustainability and environmental consciousness. It serves as a reminder of the need to protect and preserve the natural world, even as we strive for technological advancements and growth. The landscape design complements the overall ambience, providing a serene and conducive environment for learning and personal growth.

The Infosys Education Centre stands as a testament to the fact that a harmonious blend of nature and innovation can coexist, complementing and enhancing one another. The iconic building, shaped in the form of the Infosys logo, is a testament to the company’s creativity and innovation.

Our visit to the Infosys Global Education Centre was an enriching and inspiring journey and will linger in our memories for long time to come. The Institute’s vision, their remarkable training strategy, and the dedication of their faculty members left an indelible impression on us. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sushanth TharappanThirumala Arohi MamunooruSundar KS and  the entire team at the Infosys Education Centre for their warm hospitality and for creating an institution that truly epitomizes excellence in education and professional development and a showpiece to the rest of the world.
