How to Find Inspiration on Quarantine?

By | John Peterson

Most people are spending more time at home than they used to thanks to the coronavirus disease. Numerous studies have shown that stress levels have gone beyond the normal range and the purchase of alcohol has increased by more than fifty percent. Also, cases of domestic violence have risen. During such times, the majority of people don’t feel peaceful or happy since most people are uncertain and fearful. People need inspiration today like never before.

Inspired people have more energy, are less bored, and are more productive than uninspired people. Inspiration leads to motivation and taking action. Motivation and taking action are the two most essential ingredients of success.

When you take action, you feel good about yourself. And when you feel good about yourself, you feel about others. The opposite also applies. If you are not motivated, you won’t do anything much apart from coming up with excuses. Failing to do the things that are expected of us leads to anxiety, depression, and failure.

You can learn how to channel your fear so that you can use it as a tool that warns you to be proactive and aware of making adjustments that will empower you to live your best life. The best thing about it is you have total control over your emotions. You have the power to choose which emotion to give strength.

One of the best ways to get rid of fear is by consuming less news or none at all. News is a billion-dollar industry. And the thing about it is the facts are not always accurate. Gone are the days when everything was reported straightforwardly as it is. The more a reporter exaggerates, the more the views. Watching the news can be psychologically risky and it can harm your physical and mental health. Reading the papers, watching TV, and surfing the internet not only increases market shares and ratings but also the risk of depression.

You don’t have to live in a dark world. You need to stay informed. However, you should be smart about it. Don’t believe everything that’s being presented to you all day long. Question everything. Apart from limiting the times you watch or read the news, you need to spend more time reading educational, inspiring, and empowering content. We need inspiration today like never before. Here are a few great ways to find inspiration.

1.      Limit the times you watch the news

Instead of spending most of your time watching the news, look for uplifting, educational, and inspiring content. Unlike news, you have to make the effort to find inspiring content. Thanks to rapid technological advancements, all you need is a computer, smartphone, or tablet and a reliable internet connection. There are a lot of books, podcasts, videos, and articles online that will help you develop and improve your skills.

2.      Create a to-do list

To-do lists are not for everyone. However, they can be helpful during the pandemic. Your to-do list doesn’t have to be full of things that you hate doing. You can fill them with books that you’d like to read, hobbies that you enjoy, or activities that you’d like to do. You can write them down using your phone or in a notebook. To-do lists help you establish control and order when things get difficult. Plus, it can relieve boredom especially when you have nothing to do. nothing to do.

3.      Separate work from home

Now that government and health officials are encouraging people to work from home, it’s quite difficult to separate work and home at the moment. If possible, have a dedicated working area at home. And separate it from other aspects of the home. Avoid working on your bed or in a room that you normally relax and wind down.

Once you start working in a room that you frequently use to relax, you’ll have a hard time trying to enjoy yourself in the same room. Don’t prepare reports on your bed. Otherwise, you’ll have a hard time sleeping without thinking about work. If you have enough space at home, dedicate a single room for your work. If you don’t, find a comfortable seat and table in your living room that you don’t use regularly. Try as much as you can to keep work and home spaces separate.

4.      Take breaks from media

It is important to stay up-to-date with everything happening around the world. However, you shouldn’t spend all your free time doing this. When you wake up, you can consider exercising, meditating, or journaling instead of scrolling the feed. Try following up your daily briefs with inspiring and motivating articles. Despite the pandemic, there are lots of great things to be thankful about. Don’t forget them.

Conclusion

The pandemic has been harsh on everyone. And we are all doing our best to work things through. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Focus on your goals and small achievements. You are an amazing person.
