What is competency– It describe the behavioral ability of a manager required to perform work effectively.
· Competency based approach– set of competencies needed to achieve. It has two stage: identifying and analyzing, assessing.
It means 1st a company need to know what type of competency needed for a job and how they are in present employees. This will help in decision making, selection, recruitment, career development, promotion and pay
· What is SME’s– this are small and medium enterprises, they have less no of workers and independent firms. The world bank estimates that more than 90% of the business world wide are SME’s.
