Any progressive business leader knows that the true asset of any company is its people. Hiring and retaining the best talent is critical to every business success metric – from revenue growth, a wide customer base and technological innovation. Investing in a positive, inclusive and collaborative working culture results in a happy and fulfilled workforce, which in turn boots productivity and motivation levels amongst employees.

Statistics show that many Indian business leaders are already ahead of the game when it comes to workplace culture. According to a recent global report from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), 87% of Indian employees rated their workplace culture as “good” or “very good”. Moreover, almost 9 in 10 workers expressed that their managers encourage open and transparent communication within the workplace.

Yet it’s vital for business leaders in India – including travel tech leaders – to continue to strive for excellence in their workplaces. While businesses with an effective business strategy in place should reflect on the progress they have made, they must avoid complacency at all costs, especially during periods of stability, both internally and externally.
