C. Mahalingam (Mali) a noted HR Thought Leader passes away

Mali was on our Advisory Board in the formative years and helped us shape Human Engineers. He was a personal friend & Mentor to me and my team mates. We will miss his wit, humor, visionary thoughts and guidance. May his soul rest in peace. 

A seasoned HR leader, former EVP & Global Chief People Officer of Symphony Teleca Corporation, and Bangalore NHRDN Chapter President, C. Mahalingam (Mali) passes away on 6th May 2021 fighting with COVID-19.

His earlier assignments include Vice President-HR with IBM India/South Asia, Vice President-HR with Hewlett-Packard India, and Director-HR with Royal Philips Electronics Software Division.

As HR Head for over 30 years in leading Companies, Mali has been able to enhance the business competitiveness of the companies he worked as HR leader by building a robust HR architecture, organizational capabilities and making them an Employer of Choice for employees.

He was also a Visiting professor IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Trichy, IIM-Ranchi, Great Lakes (Chennai) & NMIMS, Bangalore, besides being a regular visiting faculty for the EMBA and MDPs of IIM-Bangalore.

Mali was one of the 4 architects who designed the HR Competency framework now in use in India, developed under the aegis of NHRD Network and CII. He has been a member of Nasscom Mentor Panel for mentoring CEOs of SMEs in IT and ITeS sectors.
