BENGALURU: Under its new MD and CEO Mohit Joshi, Tech Mahindra has undertaken a reorg to sharpen its focus in strategic areas by rejigging some roles and expanding responsibilities to drive more accountability. The former Infosys president will succeed CP Gurnani later this year. Industry observers believe the new org structure will make it agile to go after newer market opportunities.Abhishek Shankar, president of Tech Mahindra’s America CME (Communications, Media, and Entertainment) business will be responsible for AT&T, Verizon, cables, and large deals in addition to the communications business. Americas tech and media is headed by president of enterprise tech business Harshul Asnani with responsibilities spanning software/ISV, semicon, digital natives and consumer tech, Microsoft, Google, and large deals among others.
