The rapid outspread of the novel coronavirus brought in a bagful of stress and challenges for everyone. Undoubtedly, this has turned out to be a watershed year for businesses. In an interaction with ETHRWorld, Micky Chopra, Chief Talent Officer, ONE Business Consulting Group, shares how emotionally challenging it has been for him and his organisation to keep up with the changing business landscape. Edited excerpts:

How has the COVID-19 crisis impacted your organization?

The word “uncertainty” has gotten a lot of mileage with the spread of the virus. But that was the most stressful feeling everyone had in the beginning. While the rapidly spreading COVID-19 has prompted technology companies like us to encourage remote working for employees, this transition was more emotionally challenging than operational. While it is essential to have clear policies in place for remote work, in times of crisis, this level of preparation was not feasible. But with time, remote working allowed us to reshape and reassess how we can better invest in the employees’ wellbeing.

What steps have you taken to keep the employees’ morale high in this scenario?
