Govt promotes skill development schemes through 20 central ministries

Through 20 central ministries and departments, the government is putting various skill-development programmes into place all around the nation as part of the Skill India Mission.
These include the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS), National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS).
“The government has received Rs 368.22 crore in the National Skill Development Fund (NSDF) in the last five year (2017-22),” said Rajeev Chandrasekhar, minister of state for skills development.
“Of this, Rs 101.97 crore was received as corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds from private and public sector undertakings,” he said in response to a question in Lok Sabha.
