One of Nike, Inc.’s strategic priorities is promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) in the workplace.
We at JobsForHer are partnering with Nike to drive their DE&I recruitment strategy. As part of this initiative, Nike hosted a Virtual Networking and Hiring Event on April 23rd, 2021.
This event created a platform for women to connect with leaders in Nike Global Technology, learn about the company’s culture, and hear about Nike’s work environment. Nike leaders spoke about future growth opportunities for women looking to start, restart and rise in their careers in technology.
The event was open to Full Stack Software Engineers, Software Engineers, Software Engineering Managers, Data Engineers, and Data Engineering Managers for Nike’s India Capability Center.

Neha Bagaria, Founder & CEO, JobsForHer, kickstarted the event and spoke about the importance of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the workplace, and how the world needs more women in technology, especially in the post-COVID world.
The event saw a keynote address delivered by Jena Rose, Director, Portfolio Management, and a welcome address by Chandra Akula, Sr. Director, ED&A. Shoban Talanki, Director, ED&A, and Nachiket Torwekar, Director of Engineering, held a Tech Talk session. This was followed by a Fireside Chat with Anupama Gupta, Director, Cybersecurity and Bharathi Anjanappa, Director, Quality Engineering.
To make the event lively and engaging, a brand awareness quiz was held as an interactive session with the participants. The event wrapped up with an inspiring Q&A session with the audience.
